Collaboration with both customers and partners in cooperation is something that is without exception becoming more and more important. We therefore regard ongoing cooperation with a number of players on the national level with great significance.
West Sweden Seaport is a cooperation project between the Port of Gothenburg, Varberg and Uddevalla to offer the Baltic countries an efficient import and export route.
Logistic Hub Scandinavia works to strenghen Gothenburg's role as the transport hub for Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Included here, apart from the Port of Gothenburg, are also the National Rail Administration, Göteborg Landvetter Airport, the National Road Administration, the Swedish Maritime Administration and Business Region Göteborg.
RAILPORT is a development project between the Port and train operators, with at present 26 train shuttles. This leads to reduced environmental impact, relieves the road network and meets industry's requirements for rapid service. In the past six yearsthe volumes of goods on train have increased by more than 300 percent!
Cruise Baltic, where the Port of Gothenburg is included, is a cooperation project between 25 destinations in Northern Europe. The purpose is to generate better prospects for more cruise traffic in Europe.
FREIGHTWISE, where the Port of Gothenburg is included, is a research project being developed by a consortium of 56 partners in 14 European countries. FREIGHTWISE's overall objective is to support the modal shift of cargo flows from road to intermodal transport using road in combination with short sea shipping, inland waterways and rail.
