WORLD'S FIRST FOREST-BASED DIESEL VIA THE PORT OF GOTHEBURG

The fuel company Preem is the first in the world to offer high-quality standard diesel produced using different renewable raw materials as a base. This innovative product has been named Preem ACP Evolution Diesel and is produced in Gothenburg. Parts of the Preemraff refinery in Gothenburg have been converted into a biofuel refinery and the official inauguration took place in the middle of August.

The diesel is produced using residual products from the Swedish forest industry, vegetable oils and other renewable raw materials.

Preem has signed an agreement with the forestry industry in Norrland, where pine oil is collected and refined. The oil is then shipped to the Port of Gothenburg and pumped into the Preem processing facility, where it undergoes further refining and is prepared for the market
