NEW TERMINAL COMPANIES IN THE PORT OF GOTHENBURG

The newly formed companies in the Port of Gothenburg starting their activities February 1 and the activities for transfer to external operators are entering a new phase. - Today is a milestone in the history of the port and the day marks a new stage of Scandinavia's largest port. This helps us become an even more effective and attractive port, says Sven Hulterström, Chairman of the Board, Port of Gothenburg.

GREEN PORT STUDY TOUR

GreenPort 2010 will be held in Stockholm on February 24-25, in association with EcoPort and ESPO. During these two days delegates will meet in Stockholm to discuss key port environmental issues. In conjunction with the conference the GreenPort Environmental Study Tour of Nordic Sea Ports will be arranged for 30 or so participants from ports throughout the world. The Port of Gothenburg is one of the ports that will be visited during the nine-day study trip.

INFRASTRUCTURE MINISTER INAUGURATES MARSHALLING YARDS

The Swedish National Rail Administration has for two years carried out extensive work on the marshalling yards at the Port of Gothenburg. The Skandia marshalling yard has been widened and rebuilt and at the Älvsborg marshalling yard all the tracks have been extended.
